Season starts 6th/7th September

  • Enclosed are the formations for the Under 8’s, 9’s, 10’s and Under 11’s to Under 18’s.

  • There will be no Under 19 section this season due to lack of numbers

  • In relation to Under 8’s they will play in a league for the first 7 weeks and during that time they will be graded after 2-3 weeks.

  • After they have completed their 7 weeks they will be re-graded into groups of 4 where they will compete in a league cup on a home or away basis.

  • The Under 9’s & 10’s will start the season with 7 weeks of the league and thereafter they will be graded into groups of 4 to 5 and they will take part in a league cup on a home and away basis.

  • In order to get grading correct it is important after each game that you send in the results and this is the only way we will know how to re-grade when we get results from the managers.

  • At the start of the season if a team cannot fulfil fixtures for a couple of weeks we will withdraw that team and they must re-apply

  • There will be no games on the October bank holiday weekend for the Under 8’s, 9’, & 10’s.

  • The Under 8’s will play Futsal in Gormanston on the following dates:

29th November 2014

31st January 2015

  • 9-a-side Football for Under 11’s & 12’s – As you can see they are in groups of 5 to 6 and our idea is to play for 4 weeks and this will help us to establish the grading system. They will play each team once.

  • After 4 to 5 weeks we will enter each team into a league of 8 – 9 teams in Premier, A, B, C etc. etc.

  • The Under 11’s will play on Saturdays

  • The Under 12’s will play on Sundays

  • For Under 11’s & 12’s no tables will appear on our website for the first 6 weeks.

  • In 2015/16 season the Under 12’s will play on Saturdays.

  • All results will be on our website within 4 hours after the last match played that is with the co-operation of all our clubs.

  • There will be cup competitions for every 16 teams i.e. Premier & A, B & C etc. etc.

  • The Under 13’s – 18’s will start with a league and they will be monitored in relation to re-grading for the first 4 weeks and if we need to re-grade a team we will do so.

  • We will monitor the Under 16’s division especially Premier & A in relation to re-grading and again if re-grading is deemed necessary we will do so.

  • Each Secretary has until close of business on Tuesday 19th August to make any requests or amendments and after that date we will not accept any further requests.

  • Don’t forget to get application forms for the FAI/LFA competitions for the Under 17’s & 18’s and they are available for collection in the office - the closing date is 31st August 2014.

  • If a club cannot field a team and they are looking for a number of weeks to be idle we will withdraw the team and they may re-apply when they are up and running.

  • There will be no mid-week games and the season will start on 6th/7th September.

  • In relation to the Under 16 division and the SFAI National Cup the rule states that you must be affiliated to the NDSL at Under 16 level in order to participate in the National Cup - that is the rule.

  • In order to get the re-grading correct we will monitor each section for the first 4 – 5 weeks and the officers have agreed we will call a meeting for all clubs on the 6th October in the Oscar Traynor Centre at 7.30 p.m.  We believe this is the most appropriate time to call a meeting when all the re-grading is completed and everything has settled down.

  • There will be no more re-grading or accepting teams or movement of teams after the transfer deadline 15th October 2014.
