North Dublin schoolboy/girls League

TO MARK INTERCULTURAL WEEK

North Dublin schoolboys/girls League will host a 11-a-side soccer game at 6.30 am on Friday 23rd October 2009 in conjunction Insake FC. The game will take place in Oscar Traynor Coaching and Development Centre Coolock.

The SOCCER match is been being hosted to mark Football against Racism in Europe (FARE) Week, which aims to eliminate racism from soccer, as well as promoting diversity through sport. In Ireland, FARE Week is being supported by the Football Association of Ireland. (FAI).

Insaka FC is a multi national team make up from players from as far away as South Africa, Congo Nigeria and Zambia.

During the FARE event, players will wear 'Show Racism the Red Card' wrist bands, as well as bibs displaying the slogan 'United against Racism'

Members of the public can attend the FARE event by contacting Tony Mc Dermott.

Speaking in advance of the North Dublin Schoolboy/girls League FARE event, spokesperson Tony Mc Dermott community/schools development officer said, "We are delighted to be among the 90-plus organizations around the country who are making an important statement that there is no place in football for racism. Football is the biggest game in the world, and it gives us an opportunity to break down barriers and learn more about other cultures."

North Dublin schoolboys/girls League will host a 7-a-side soccer blitz at 11am on Tuesday 27th October 2009 in conjunction Swords youth /Sheriff St and Ronanstown Youth services. The Blitz will take place in Oscar Traynor Coaching and Development Centre Coolock.

140 children from St Joseph's National School, Bonnybrook attended a Fun Sports Day

and Soccer Blitz at our Oscar Traynor Coaching Centre HQ.

The Soccer Blitz was won by Man Utd

Teachers and Pupils had a very enjoyable day

NDSL Coaching Staff visited Balscadden this week

Coaches spent a few days coaching soccer skills to children attending Balscadden YC summer camp.

The 30 children who attended the camp had a fantastic time.

Freddie the Fox visits NDSL Easter Camp

Sporting Fingal's Mascot "Freddie the Fox" had a great morning's fun with the 85 boys and girls who attended the very successful NDSL Easter camp.

NDSL New Girls Academy

Tuesday 27th January 2009

A New All Girls Section Age Group 9 to 12 years is to be launched in the NDSL Academy.

This new section will be under the guidance of Tony Mc Dermot and the Academy's Coaching Staff.

It is proposed to run this section on similar lines to the very successful Colts Academy.

Tony has recently returned from New Zealand where he coached Otago/SoccerSouth, National Women's Team.

Girls interested in joining this academy are invited to attend a demonstration coaching session on
